Mingled Yarn: Turkish Cast-On

Turkish Cast-On
a simple cast-on which provides two rows of live stitches—good for toe-up socks and items in which directional stitches are needed

Step 1
Hold two needles and tail of yarn together.

Step 2
Wrap yarn over top of needles towards yourself.

Step 3
Continue this until you have made half as many wraps as you need stitches cast on.

Step 4
Knit into wraps as if they were normal stitches.
